• Ali Khorasani of Houston, Democratic candidate for U.S. representative, District 2, finished fifth of five candidates with 7.5 percent. Todd Litton advances to face the winner of a runoff between Kevin Roberts and Dan Crenshaw.
  • John Duncan of Arlington, Democratic candidate for U.S. representative, District 6, finished third of five candidates 13 percent. Ruby Faye Woolridge and Jana Lynne Sanchez advance to a runoff. Winner will face the winner of a runoff between Ron Wright and J.K. Ellzey.
  • Madeline Eden of Bastrop, Democratic candidate for U.S. representative, District 10, Bastrop, finished fourth out of seven candidates with 14.2 percent. Mike Siegel and Tawana Walter Cadien are in the runoff, with the winner facing incumbent Michael T. McCaul in November.
  • Mary Wilson of Austin, Democratic candidate for U.S. representative, District 21, finished first out of four with 30.9 percent. She is in a runoff with Joseph Kopser with 29 percent, with the winner to face the winner of the runoff between Chip Roy and Matt McCall.
  • Mauro Garza of San Antonio, Republican candidate U.S. representative, District 21, finished 15th out of 18 candidates with 0.9 percent.
  • Gina Ortiz Jones of San Antonio, Democratic candidate for U.S. representative, District 23, finished first out of five candidates with 41.5 percent. She advances to the runoff against Rick Trevino, who had 17.5 percent, The winner will face incumbent Will Hurd in November.
  • Eric Holguin of Corpus Christi, Democratic candidate for U.S. representative, District 27, finished second out of four candidates with 23.3 percent. He advances to a runoff against Raul (Roy) Barrera, 41.2 percent, and the winner will face the winner of the runoff between Bech Bruun and Michael Cloud in November. In that same race lesbian candidate Vanessa Edwards Foster of Houston finished third, with 19.1 percent.

 
Texas Supreme Court
• Steve Kirkland of Houston, Democratic candidate for justice, Texas Supreme Court, Place 2, was unopposed in the primary. He faces Republican Jimmy Blacklock in November.
 
Texas Senate
• David Romero of Houston, Democratic candidate for state senator, District 7, was unopposed in the primary. He faces incumbent Republican Charles Schwertner in November.

  • Fran Watson of Houston, Democratic candidate for state senator, District 17, finished second of three candidates with 35.1 percent, and is in a runoff with Rita Lucido, 48.9 percent. Winner will face incumbent Republican Joan Huffman in November.
    • Shannon McClendon of Dripping Springs, Republican candidate for state senator, District 25, took 26.3 percent of the vote but lost to incumbent Donna Campbell. Campbell faces Democrat Steven Kling in November.

 
Texas House

  • Dylan Forbis of Pearland, Democratic candidate for state representative, District 29, Pearland, got 40.3 percent of the vote but lost to James Presley. Presely faces incumbent Republican Ed Thompson in November.
    • Candace Aylor of Austin, Democratic candidate for state Representative, finished fourth out of five candidates with 7.4 percent of the vote. Vikki Goodwin and Elaina Fowler are in a runoff to face incumbent Republican Paul D. Workman.
  • Celia Israel of Austin, incumbent state representative, District 50, had no Democratic challenger and has no Republican opponent in November, and so is re-elected.
  • Sam Hatton of Abilene, Democratic candidate for state Representative, District 71, had no primary opponent. He faces incumbent Republican Stan Lambert in November.
  • Stephanie Phillips of Houston, Democratic candidate for state representative, District 73, had no Democratic Primary opponent. She faces incumbent Republican Kyle Biedermann in November.
  • Mary Gonzalez of El Paso, Democratic incumbent state representative, District 75, took 68.5 percent of the vote to defeat primary challenger MarySue Femath. She has no Republican opponent in November and so is re-elected to the Legislature.
  • Armando Gamboa of Odessa, Democratic candidate for state representative, District 81, had no opponent in the Democratic Primary. He faces incumbent Republican Brooks Landgraf in November.
  • Finnigan Jones of Arlington, Democratic candidate for state representative, District 94, had no opponent in the Democratic Primary. He faces incumbent Republican Tony Tinderholt in November.
  • Jenifer Pool of Houston, Democratic candidate for state representative, District 138, Houston, got 43,4 percent of the vote in the Democratic Primary but lost to Adam Milasincic, who will face incumbent Republican Dwayne Bohac in November.

 
Appeals Court

  • Charles Spain of Houston, Democratic candidate for judge on the 14th Court of Appeals, Place 4, ran unopposed in the Democratic Primary. He faces incumbent Republican Marc Brown in November.

 
District Courts
• Cooke Kelsey of Houston, Democratic candidate for district judge, 113th Judicial District, won 26.79 percent of the vote but lost to Rabeea Collier, who faces incumbent Republican Michael Landrum in November.
• Tonya Parker of Dallas, incumbent district judge, 116th Judicial District, was unopposed in the Democratic Primary, and is unopposed in the November election.
• Beau Miller of Houston, Democratic candidate for district judge, 190th Judicial District, was unopposed in the Democratic Primary. He faces Republican Debra Ibarra Mayfield in November.

  • George Arnold of Houston, Democratic candidate for district judge, 281st Judicial District, won 37.65 percent of the vote but lost the Democratic Primary to Christine Weems. Weems faces Republican Sylvia Matthews in November.

 
County Courts-at-Law
• James Kovach of Houston, Democratic candidate for judge, Harris County Civil Court-at-Law No. 2, won the primary with 62.49 percent over Stanley Santire. He faces Republican Erin Swanson in November.
• Shannon Baldwin of Houston, Democratic candidate for judge, Harris County Criminal Court-at-Law No. 4, was unopposed in the primary. He faces Republican John Clinton in November.
• Jerry Simoneaux of Houston, Democratic candidate for judge, Harris County Probate Court-at-Law No. 1, was unopposed in the primary. He faces Republican Loyd Wright in November.
• Jason Cox of Houston, Democratic candidate for judge, Harris County Probate Court-at-Law No. 3, was unopposed in the primary. He faces Republican Rory Robert Olsen in November.
• Rosie Gonzalez of San Antonio, Democratic candidate for judge, Bexar County Court-at-Law No. 13, had no primary opponent. She faces Republican Crystal Chandler in November.
 
Justices of the Peace
• Sara Martinez of Dallas, incumbent Dallas County Justice of the Peace, Precinct 5, Place 1had no opponent in the Democratic Primary and no Republican opponent in November.

  • Susan Steeg of Austin, incumbent Travis County Justice of the Peace, Precinct 3, received 40.1 percent of the votes in the Democratic Primary but lost to Sylvia Holmes. Holmes faces Republican Martin Harry in November.
  • Justin Mosley of Lufkin, Democratic candidate for Justice of the Peace, Place 2, Angelina County, will face Republican Donnie Puckett in November.

 
Harris County Department of Education

  • John Miller of Houston, Democratic candidate for Harris County Department of Education trustee, Seat 6, received 30.69 percent of the vote to place third in the primary. Prince E. Bryant II and Danyahel (Danny) Norris face each other in a runoff. There is no Republican candidate for the seat.

 
Guadalupe County Commissioner

  • Rebecca “Becca” Tucker, Democratic candidate for Guadalupe County Commissioner, Prct. 4, was unopposed in the primary. In the general election she will face the winner of a runoff between Republicans Judy Cope and Daniel Kearns.
