Don’t buy from Exxon Mobil

It was interesting, but not surprising to read of Exxon’s continued rejection of LGBT benefits for their employees ("Exxon Mobil rejects effort again to include LGBTS in EEO policy," Dallas Voice, May 29).

I have not bought one dime of Exxon gas or spent one dime on any product in any of their station stores since the Exxon Valdez accident back in 1989. They responded to that crisis and impending blame with an air of arrogance that apparently extends to this day.

I urge my fellow citizens to refrain from using any of their products until they come out of their own closet and put compassion over the bottom line. It truly amazes and infuriates me that a company of this size can still be in the dark ages.
