The Leather Knights will install new officers and present awards to outstanding members during the organization’s annual anniversary dinner Saturday night.

Leather Knights, a non-profit organization, holds several fundraising events throughout the year to help support local charitable organizations. In 2005, Leather Knights raised more than $15,000, a record amount, according to Mera Harned, fundraising coordinator. The group also held its annual Christmas toy drive to benefit the children who live in facilities operated by AIDS Services of Dallas.

Harned said the organization has only 14 full members and several associate members. Leather Knights also supports and works regularly with other leather groups in the community, the Dallas Eagle nightclub and the United Court of the Lone Star Empire.

The anniversary dinner begins at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Wyndham Dallas Market Center hotel.
