ChairsThe Chairs, the absurdist play by Eugene Ionesco, the master of the absurb, hasn’t been performed in Dallas since 1962.

In a house on an island a very old couple pass their time with private games and half-remembered stories. With brilliant eccentricity, Ionesco’s ‘tragic farce’ combines a comic portrait of human folly with a magical experiment in theatrical possibilities. Shakespeare Dallas Executive and Artistic Director Raphael Parry and KDT Company Member Rhonda Boutte will make their first-ever appearance on stage together.

DEETS: Kitchen Dog Theater, The MAC,  3120 McKinney Ave. Saturday at 8 p.m. Sunday at 2 p.m. Wednesdays through Sundays until March 9. For tickets call 214-953-1055.
