As in years past, KERA 90.1-FM’s Think program is doing a “year in review” with local film critics; this year’s airs at 1 p.m. today.
Unlike in years past, I’m not on it.
I mean, I only wrote a book about the Oscars — who am I? But what gets my goat is the press release touts “a panel of our favorite critics.” So now I’m not even a favorite! (I confronted Stephen Becker with Art&Seek about it last night, but he said he didn’t pick the panel. A likely story.)
Guess I’ll listen anyway. My top 10 movies list will be published on Jan. 1.
Now that I think about it, maybe I was there for the Oscar show. Either way.
