The J.P. Joyce Community Foundation will sponsor “Pride at the Polls” at Sue Ellen’s on Sunday, May 6, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The foundation is holding the event to help turn out the early vote, and it will provide free rides to nearby early vote locations.

The party at Sue Ellen’s will feature free hot dogs, hamburgers and veggie burgers and live entertainment. Local singer Patrick Boothe will perform.

Political candidates also will be on hand to meet and greet and make speeches.

The event at 3903 Cedar Springs Road is free and open to the public.
