No, they’re not closing up that tony two-showroom boutique on McKinney Avenue. Jones Walker are expanding.
After almost four years of running successful home furnishings store in Uptown, partners Max Jones and Tony Walker announced that a second Jones Walker location will open next month at LakeSide Market in Plano, near Preston Road at Spring Creek Parkway.
Jones Walker specializes in contemporary leather seating: sofas, chairs, benches, ottomans, recliners, media seating and sectionals. Their line also includes modern bed designs. They pride themselves on offering clients the ability to customize orders with quick manufacturing turnarounds approximately 2 to 5 weeks.
They also carry beds and have been an outlet for Dallas-based artisans. Jones Walker was the first to fill their walls with works by a young newcomer named Jennifer Morgan, whose bright, whimsical and trippy paintings have made her a “one to watch” cultural darling in Big D.
The new Plano location will have a lot more wall space than the Uptown boutique. The showroom is approximately 4,5000 square feet. Jones says it will open sometime in October.
