On Wednesday, The Shops at Park Lane announced its expansion with the welcoming of four new tenants. Intuit Turbo Tax, Creme + Crepes and Connect Studio DFW have all opened at the shopping center. The fourth tenant is IKEA which opens this month.

But a whole different kind of IKEA.

“As one of the largest global retail brands, IKEA will be a gamechanger for our project, and we feel fortunate that IKEA chose The Shops at Park Lane to plant its flag in core Dallas,” Ward Kampf said in today’s press release. Kampf is the president of Northwood Retail that owns and operates the center.

He continued, “This new location plays into the larger growth story happening now in Dallas and fits perfectly with our proximity to SMU, The Village Dallas, and Uptown, rounding out other additive, new center openings like Turbo Tax, Crème + Crepe, and Connect Studio DFW.”

The Swedish home furnishing and home goods retail giant will open a new small-format, two-story store at The Shops at Park Lane. It will be 63,000 square feet and offer a curated selection of 3,200 articles for immediate takeaway as well as food options. IKEA will be located on the second level of the center, directly across from another newer addition to the center, American Girl.

IKEA is set to open on March 11.
