I just received an official release from the Dallas Theater Center about the final show of their season, the so-called “family musical” of a “Newbery-award winning book” by a composing duo with a “current hit on Broadway.” Drum roll please: It’s “Sarah Plain and Tall,” by the team that did “Legally Blonde.”
But then, you already knew that, or would if you read my June 13 blog post in which, deciphering the clues, I speculated just that. My efforts were not welcomed by the DTC staff, because the deal hadn’t been finalized — and my post wouldn’t help matters; in fact, it could hurt.
But here it is, more than six months later, and everyone’s happy to confirm it. Glad I didn’t queer the deal. But then, I queer everything…
