Gay Realtor Steve Habgood, with the Hewitt-Habgood Team at Keller Williams-Urban Dallas, has been named the 2009 winner of the Lois Hair Bernays Award as the MetroTex Association of Realtors’ Salesperson of the Year.
Habgood is currently director appointee to the North Texas Real Estate Information system and involved with numerous association directives. In 2010, he will serve on the dfwREALTORS.com-MetroTex board of directors and as chairman of the association’s MLS Committee.
Habgood is also a leader in "green" real estate, and was instrumental in facilitating the adoption of a green initiative in the MLS system to better identify green features that benefit consumers buying and selling homes in the North Texas market. The Lois Hair Bernays Award is the association’s highest honor for a Realtor member and is presented to a residential Realtor who exemplifies the highest qualities of the real estate profession.
