Apparently, all those paparazzi-plagued celebrities who want to get the persistent photographers out of their face should just turn gay. At least, that’s what Los Angeles Police Chief William Bratton seemed to be suggesting in a recent comment about actress Lindsey Lohan.
According to an Associated Press report, Bratton was explaining why he refused to participate in a recent meeting with other elected officials to discuss new laws to curb the paparazzi problem in L.A., when he told KNBC-TV: “If you notice, since Britney [Spears] started wearing clothes and behaving; Paris [Hilton] is out of town not bothering anybody anymore, thank God, and evidently, Lindsay Lohan has gone gay, we don’t seem to have much of an issue.”
Lohan has for some time now been romantically linked with DJ Samantha Ronson.
When someone questioned Bratton about the Lohan remark, the police chief said his sister is gay and he is a proponent of gay rights.
But Lindsey wasn’t convinced. In a video shot by paparazzi and posted on TMZ.com, she said the police chief needs to mind his own business, and that his comments on her personal life were “inappropriate.”
(She and Ronson were on their way through the L.A. airport to catch a plane to Chicago when that video was made.)
And speaking of Paris Hilton, her parents are more than a little unhappy with a recent John McCain campaign ad that suggested Barack Obama is nothing more than a celebrity with lots of style and no substance, just like Paris and Britney.
Kathy Hilton said the ad was a waste of time and money, and she said that even though she and her husband had made significant financial contributions to McCain’s campaign, they would no longer be supporting his bid for the White House.siteрегистрация сайта на яндекс
