Elton John curates “‘Fashion Rocks’

Elton John, curator of the Fashion Rocks event, kicked off New York’s Fashion Week with a concert on Sept. 7. Proceeds benefit the Elton John AIDS foundation. On Friday, the two-hour concert will be aired on CBS.
Performers include Scissor Sisters, Christina Aguilera, Beyonce and Kanye West. Calvin Klein, Versace and Marc Jacobs, will produce fashion segments for the show.
Elton John AIDS foundation was founded in 1992 by Elton John in response to the outrage he felt over how little was being done to help those living with HIV. The foundation has distributed more than $65 million worldwide.
Sept. 8 at 8 p.m. on CBS, Ch. 11.
