Screen shot 2013-12-27 at 9.30.12 AMTwo men will marry on a float shaped like a wedding cake during the Tournament of Roses Parade on New Year’s Day. The entry is sponsored by American Healthcare Foundation.

According to the Pasadena Star-News, Karen Grube of San Diego is calling for a boycott of the parade because what they’re doing is illegal in at least 32 states.

“Gay ‘marriage’ [sic] is still illegal in over 30 states. Why would the Tournament of Roses promote something illegal like that?” Grube wrote on her Facebook page.

She lists the sponsors of the parade.

Here is a quick list of sponsors: Please call them and ask them to protest this idiotic decision.

Disneyland, Hallmark, Kaiser Permanente, LA Times, Macy’s, Nike, Parsons, Public Storage, Tiffany & Company, American Airlines, CocaCola, Farmers Insurance, FTD Florists, Honda, Miracle Grow, Taco Bell, Lawrys, Mikimoto, Remo.

Other may want to thank them.

The couple getting married, Aubrey Loots, 42, and Danny Leclair, 45, of Los Angeles, won a lottery to marry on the float.

Float sponsor AHF runs HIV/AIDS clinics around the world and has an office at AIDS Outreach Center in Fort Worth and at Medical City in North Dallas. The theme of the 2014 parade is “Dreams Come True.” An estimated 68 million people around the world will see Loots and Leclair’s dreams come true.
