Popular event to relocate from Lakewood to Rose Room of S4
Gay Bingo will be held at the Rose Room of S4 beginning Jan. 19 at 6 p.m.
The monthly event’s relocation from the Lakewood Theater, where it was held for five years, to Oak Lawn was announced this week by its sponsoring organization, the Resource Center of Dallas.
“After careful consideration and discussions internally and externally, we have decided this move is right for everyone the Resource Center, Caven Enterprises, the bingo crowd and the Crossroads neighborhood,” said Mike McKay, executive director of the organization. “We have been in this area for 25 years, and we want to make sure the Oak Lawn/Cedar Springs area continues to thrive.”
McKay noted Gay Bingo attracts about 300 patrons to the event on the third Saturday of every month, January through November.
