Second annual Dallas Pride kick-off: Women with Pride is celebrating strong LGBTQ women with free food, open bar, free-t-shirts, vendor tables and entertainment from 6-10 p.m. at Resource Center, 5750 Cedar Springs Road.
• May 31: Stonewall Pride Weekend Kickoff Party
Stonewall Democrats of Dallas kick off Pride weekend with a party from 9 p.m.-1 a.m. at Dallas Woody’s, 4011 Cedar Springs Road.
JUNE
• June 1: Miller Lite Music Festival
The Pride Weekend Miller Lite Music Festival is from 10 a.m.-11 p.m. in the Centennial Building at Fair Park. Entertainment includes Estelle, Ada Vox, the cast of The Rose Room and more, plus nearly 200 vendors, a display of the NAMES Project AIDS Quilt, the Family Pride Zone, Teen Pride and more. Tickets are $10 for those 18 and older, $5 for those 13-17 and free for those 12 and under. Parking at Fair Park is $10. For more details, see Pages 14-15.

• June 1: Soccer For All
FC Dallas, the major league soccer team housed at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, hosts “Soccer For All” during their 7 p.m. game against Seattle Sounders as part of a league-wide initiative to support Pride weekend in Texas. FC Dallas players will be wearing limited edition Pride Training tops for warm ups. Soccer For All signifies that everyone is welcome to MLS regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, gender, gender identity, disability, sexual orientation or socioeconomic status, and emphasizes the league’s commitment to drive positive social change and
end discrimination.
• June 2: Pride is a Protest March
Pride is about visibility. Visibility is necessary in the struggle for equality and human rights. Transgender Pride of Dallas organized this march. Queerbomb will be marching. Everyone is welcome to join the march from Dallas City Hall to Fair Park at noon.
• June 2: Alan Ross Texas Freedom Parade
The Pride parade moves to June and to Fair Park. Begins at 2 p.m. Admission to the park and the parade is free. Parking at Fair Park is $10. Prepay for parking at DallasPride.org. For information on taking DART to the park, see Pages 14-15.
