SPOTLIGHT: Easter Egg-stravaganza at Northaven United Methodist Church
Northaven United Methodist Church is one of the area’s most well known LGBT-affirming churches. So it shouldn’t come as a surprise it is openly advertising its Easter weekend celebration as LGBT family friendly. Kids can scurry across the church ground during its Easter egg hunt while parents enjoy a raffle. And here’s something new: a competitive egg race with prizes. Don’t worry if you drop your eggs and don’t win a prize; you can still get a good helping of them at the free brunch. And unlike Christmas, there’s no Santa (or Christian fundamentalist) to judge if you’ve been naughty or nice. Regardless of your evil or good deeds, the Easter Bunny will be available for photo opportunities.
