Well, this is embarrassing. Kansas officially has marriage equality before Texas. Not quite as embarrassing as Oklahoma being ahead of us, but embarrassing nonetheless.
AP reports that Johnson County Chief District Judge Kevin Moriarty in northeast Kansas ordered the county to begin issuing marriage licenses.
