If you haven’t yet figured out exactly what your plans are for this biggest of date nights, you can’t go wrong with food. Here are some of the special menus available this weekend.
Capriccio Ristorante kicks off the holiday early with a Valentine’s brunch buffet available Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for $18.95/person. And there’ll even be a limited a la carte dinner served that night (the restaurant is normally not open Sundays). 972-991-3939.
Cyclone Anaya’s offers its "dinner for two" Friday through Sunday, with an appetizer sampler, select entrees and a trio of desserts. At $49.95 a couple, it’s a delicious bargain. 214-420-0030.
Both Stephan Pyles and his new bistro, Samar, have Valentine’s Day four-course menus, both of which are available with wine pairings. Stephan Pyles runs $75 (214-580-7000) and Samar $50 per person (214-922-9922).
The Grape, the prototype for the romantic restaurant, serves a three-course menu on Sunday for $65/person. That’s in addition to romantic a la carte choices Friday and Saturday. 214-828-1981.
Bijoux opens a little early on Sunday to begin its Valentine’s feast, which includes four courses from an oyster sampler (always good to begin with an aphrodisiac) to a pecan tartlette. The cost is $99/person, with wine pairings optional. 214-250-6100.
Uptown institution The Place at Perry’s offers an elaborate four-course dinner that includes a bottle of wine or champagne for couples. Selections from the prix fixe menu include surf and turf for two among the options. Cost is $125/person. 214-871-9991.
The restaurants at One Arts Plaza are all getting into the holiday. Dali Wine Bar & Restaurant is suspending its regular menu for three nights to offer a special four-course meal. And of course there’s plenty of wine available by the glass.
$65/person. 469-385-9360. Screen Door has a three-course menu available Friday through Sunday for $55 a diner, while Fedora’s four-course Italian meal runs $65/each.
Over at the Library Bar inside the Warwick Melrose Hotel, the emphasis is on romantic libations, including a chocolate-covered cherry martini made with Chambord and Godiva liqueur; a Dreamcicle rose with amaretto and Cointreau; and the midnight kiss with a twist. Or you can have a full meal at The Landmark restaurant. The $150 price includes a split of bubbly.
