Casey Spooner, Warren Fischer and their merry troupe of abstract dancers killed it at The Granada Theater on Friday night. What a high-tech, glam treat — full of satire and incredible visual artistry.
With the endless costume changes — ballet to space-age to toreador — the show was like an Annie Lennox video starring Will Ferrell doing an imitation of the Pet Shop Boys. But even that lard-ass description doesn’t do Fischerspooner proper justice.
The Brooklyn-based act hasn’t toured in fives years. Hope they do a second leg for their new disc, “Entertainment.”
