Name and age: Peter Ngo, 20

Spotted at: Greenville Avenue and Mockingbird Lane.

Tall, radiant Aquarius Peter Ngo was born in Saigon, Vietnam, and moved to the Dallas area when he was a toddler. When people first meet him, they usually think he is Hispanic, he says … but that’s OK. “It’s always a great icebreaker to talk about my ethnicity with someone I haven’t met yet!”

The SMU sophomore is majoring in creative advertising and biology. “I don’t intend to do anything with the advertising degree. It’s a creative outlet, and it gives me an excuse to have fun with Photoshop!”

Mind and body: His dream is to go to medical school — he’s passionate about physical and mental health. “I believe that natural and holistic healing is the way to go!” In his free time, he enjoys yoga and running on Katy Trail and around White Rock Lake, and is a certified turbo kickboxing instructor.

Peter came out just a year ago. He worried his parents might disown him because he thought they were conservative. “It turned out that they are far from it. They love me just as much, if not more!”

Enjoy him while you can: Peter plans to relocate before too long. “I plan to move to Seattle because I love rain and fresh seafood.”
