Apparently my recent appearance on Lambda Weekly with David Taffet has launched me into absolute radio stardom. At about 4:30 this afternoon, I’ll be on the Michelangelo Signorile Show on SiriusXM’s Out-Q, which is Channel 109. I’m told we’ll spend about 15 minutes discussing the internal affairs report released Thursday by the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission.
Then, from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, I’ll be on the Jack E. Jett Show, on Rational Radio, 1360 AM in Dallas. I may still need to discuss this appearance with my agent, though, because this week when I sent Jack an e-mail to confirm that I would be coming on, he sent the following reply: “Yes, as long as you have the jock strap and combat boots that I asked you to appear in. Also, bring your own poppers.” Yikes!
When you want intelligent conversation, there’s, well, Lambda Weekly. When you want crack head radio, there’s Jack.
Can you imagine when Jack and I co-hosted a daily 2 1/2 hour show together. One day, the second week we were on the air, we had NOTHING to talk about and we did 2 1/2 hours on phones. Phone companies. Phone bills. Cell phones. Phone calls. Dial or push button phones. Gay people and phones. Phones phones phones. Because the station owner thought it would be a good topic. And you know what? It wasn’t.
Jack, do you have a DVD of that disaster. It was really painful.

i think the poppers actually help him clean the video head in the studio. the jockstrap just gives him a chance with your chilli hole.

You’ll do great, John!! Let’s hope that Jack doesn’t wear his bright yellow rubber gloves today…they may keep his lovely hands smooth & beautiful, but only the in-studio RADIO folks can fully, um, “appreciate” the look on-air.

Don’t worry John, I will pick up the Rush and keep it chilled for the show. So you don’t have to bring yours. It will be a fresh bottle and you know what that means…….Awesome Show!
