There were relatively few signs at last night’s Prop 8 rally in Dallas. Maybe it was sign burnout after the Phelps clan counterprotests, but we suspect another reason is that people simply didn’t have time to make them after the verdict at about 3:30 p.m. and before the rally at 6. But the folks up in Denton, which has become a hotbed for LGBT activism over the last few years, have seemingly solved this problem by holding their Day of Decision rally on Saturday. From organizer David Sindt:

This is no doubt a huge victory for the LGBT community, but this will not be the last word on Proposition 8 as marriage equality opponents will continue to push forward the legal battle, all the way to the US Supreme Court if necessary. So please bring your signs and flags out to the Day of Decision solidarity rally this Saturday, 5:00pm at the Denton Courthouse Square, and remind folks that we will not be silent until full equality at the federal level becomes reality!
