Parson

Haraford (Harvey) Lee Parson, 58, died Sept. 25 at his home in Dallas following a brief bout with cancer.

Parson was born March 11, 1951, in Dallas and lived in the Dallas area all his life. He attended the University of North Texas in Denton and was a life-long enthusiast and student of history, politics and cultural issues. He was also an engaging conversationalist.

Parson was a sterile processing technician and had worked at Baylor University Medical Center for 35 years.

He is survived by his partner, Les Geiter of Dallas; his daughters, Angie Geiter of Austin and Kim Lyle of Chicago; one brother, one sister and one niece.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 3 at Minyard Chapel Christian Church in East Dallas.

The family asks that memorial donations be made to KERA Radio in Dallas, the American Foundation for AIDS Research (AmFAR) in New York City or the National Foundation For Cancer Research in Bethesda, Md.
