Ben Runyan is survived by his mother, Paula; two brothers; a sister, Leah; and his beloved dog, "Rock" who was, ironically, his rock.

He leaves behind countless friends who will remember him as an honest and loyal friend with a gracious heart and a knack for making people smile and feel welcome.

Runyan’s life was cut tragically short but his time here has not gone unnoticed.

He impacted the world with his constant smile, humility, dedication to friends, and being a shining example of goodness to those around him. There is no doubt he positively influenced many and achieved much in life.

There will be a memorial service at 2:p.m. Friday, May 9 at Sojourn Church, 4041 Marsh Lane in Carrollton. There will be a celebration of his life at 7:30 p.m. that same day at Ojeda’s restaurant.

Services for Lawrence Ashley Meyer, 43, Dallas, were held Monday, May 5 at the Chandler Memorial Funeral Home, Chandler Texas with Deb Levy officiating.

Meyer died May 1, 2008, in Dallas.

He was born Sept. 8, 1964, in Tyler. He lived in Dallas for eight years, and was a clinical trials researcher and registered nurse.

He is survived by his partner Gary Meyer, and many close family members and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at his Dallas residence at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 10.

Meyer will be remembered as a man of many passions, but probably foremost as a dear friend to many and a caring soul.

He always believed in putting the needs of others before his. He will truly be missed.
