Richard D. Muzychenko, 54, of Dallas died April 25.
He was born Feb. 19, 1954, and is survived by his life partner, Jack Mion.
Details for a celebration of his life will be announced at a later date.

Patrick Kent Ellender
, 42, of Dallas died unexpectedly Tuesday morning April 29 at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas.Ellender was born June 6, 1965 in Sulphur, La., but had lived in Dallas for the last 22 years.
He graduated from Sulphur High School before joining the U.S. Navy Reserves and attended LSU-Lafayette and La Tournaeu University. He worked as a massage therapist and had previously worked as office manager at the Dallas Gay and Lesbian Alliance.
He was active in many organizations over the years, including the Dallas Independent Volleyball Association and the Cathedral of Hope where he was a member of the Positive Voices chorus.
Ellender was preceded in death by his niece Julie Jan Johnson, his brother-in-law Gary Johnson and his grandparents Robert and Mary Koonce Ellender and Eddie and Irene Smith Sonnier.
He is survived by his life partner Bill Mantz of Dallas; parents Milford and Glenda Sonnier Ellender of Sulphur; brothers Steve Ellender and his wife Ramona, and Mark Ellender and his wife, Andrea of Sulphur; sisters, Lisa Ellender Johnson, Sherry Manard and her husband Rodney, and Melissa Ellender, all of Sulphur; several nieces and nephews, all of Sulphur; and his longtime friends Randy Belshe of Sulphur, Chuck Roundtree of Houston, Michael Zarzembek of San Antonio, Sam Geer of Atlanta, Ga. and Hunt Palmquist of Dallas.
Funeral services will be conducted this weekend from Hixons-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 2051 E Napoleon St. in Sulphur.
A celebration of life will be held at his Dallas residence at 7 p.m. on Friday, June 6 in the gardens he tended with love and devotion.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made in Ellender’s memory to the Alex Sanger Elementary School Garden, 8410 Fanleandor Drive, Dallas, Texas 75218.
