Anthony J. (Tony) Pavia, 54, formerly of Dallas, died on Oct. 28, 2008 at Firelands Medical Center in Sandusky, Ohio. He had lived with AIDS for 22 years.
Pavia was a member of Cathedral of Hope and sang with Positive Voices. For more than 20 years he had volunteered for a number of AIDS charities and HIV awareness programs.’
Pavia is survived by his mother, Gilberte Pavia of Sandusky; his sister, Monette Collart of Huron, Ohio; and his companion of 10 years, Ed Mulder of Sandusky, formerly of Dallas.
The family asks that memorials in his name be made to the Resource Center of Dallas’ AIDS programs.
Carl Jude Gautreaux, 44, died March 6, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette, La.

Born July 1, 1974 in Lafayette, Gautreaux graduated from Cairo American College in Egypt. He was a flight attendant for American Eagle Airlines for 22 years, and lived in the Dallas area, where American is based, for more than 15 years. He was a former M.E.C. president of the American Eagle Chapter of the Associated of Flight Attendants, a union for flight attendants, and most recently served as vice president of the organization.
Gautreaux enjoyed traveling, especially on cruises. He loved music, going to concerts and spending time with his beloved dogs, Sydney and Copper. He will be remembered and deeply missed as a loving partner, son, brother, nephew, cousin, associate and friend by those who knew and loved him.
Gautreaux is survived by his partner of 12 years, Barry Hughes of Lafayette; his parents, A. Carroll and Anne Marie Gorney Gautreaux of Lafayette; his two brothers, Thaddeus Gautreaux and wife Amy, and Matthias Gautreaux, all of Lafayette; his sister, Kalyn M. Gautreaux of Lafayette; his great-aunt Burl "Big Nanie" Fitzgerald of Lafayette, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
The family thanks Dr. Luis Meza and his staff ro the compassionate care given to Gautreaux during his illness.
Memorial services were held Sunday, March 8 at Fountain Memorial Funeral Home in Lafayette, with Monsignor Keith Derouen, pastor of St. John Cathedral in Lafayette, presiding.

Carl Edward Hill, born Oct. 14, 1956, died of cancer and AIDS at Vitas Hospice in Irving on March 4.
He was a native of the Dallas area and graduated from MacArthur High School in Irving. He worked as a carpenter.
Hill was preceded in death by his father, Dan Hill. He is survived by his mother, Ruby Hill of Honey Grove; his sisters, Dana Bishop of Irving and Vicki Hill of Wadsworth; his brother, Paul Hill of Bedford; his son, Dan Hill of Dennison; his aunt, Amalee Kibby of Celina, his grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. The family asks that memorials in his name be made to Legacy Founders Cottage, 828 S. Tyler St., Dallas, Texas 75208, or to AIDS Interfaith Network, 1005 W. Jefferson Blvd., Dallas, Texas 75208.
