Larry Don "Lucky" Riley Jr. died Feb. 28.
Born March 20, 1964 in Sulphur Springs to Nancy and Larry Don Riley Sr., Riley devoted his life to the enrichment of his spirituality. After graduating in 1983 from Allen High School in Allen, he attended East Texas State, then chose to become a graphic artist due to his immense talent for and love of art.
He later worked as a bartender at the Barracks, Ripcord and the Brick, where he was very popular for his beautiful smile and fun loving sense of humor. These jobs allowed him to continue using his artistic talents by doing artwork for the interiors of the bars as well as designing art and sets for several contests in the community. During the holiday seasons, many people called on him to decorate their homes.
He is survived by his mother, Nancy Weir of Plano; his father, Larry Don Riley Sr., and his wife, Constance, of Sulphur Springs; his sister, Judith Diane "Judy" Skinner, and her husband, Rodney, of North Richland Hills; his brother, Malcolm Scott Riley, and his wife, Trish, of Whitesboro; his brother, Kevin Riley, and his wife, Penny, of Tyler; and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and many loving friends.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 9, at 3 p.m. in the chapel at North Dallas Funeral Home, 2710 Valley View Lane.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the AIDS Resource Center.
Services are under the director of Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Dallas.

Tony D. Delk, 40, died of heart failure on Nov. 15, 2007, following a short-term illness.
Delk was born June 10, 1967, in Skytooth, Okla., and moved to Dallas from California in 1992. His family and friends will remember his zest for life. Whether he was at work or fishing on Cedar Creek Lake, playing darts or pool with friends at the local clubs or at home with family and friends, or just spending time with his partner, Delk enjoyed whatever he was doing.
Delk is survived by his partner, Denzil Phipps, of Malakoff.
