Robbie Walton, 36, of Houston died of complications from AIDS on Oct. 3 at his home in Houston.

Walton was born Jan. 22, 1971, in San Antonio. He attended Nacogdoches High School in Nacogdoches, Texas and San Jacinto Junior College in Houston. He had lived in Houston for the past year, and had lived in Chicago and in Dallas previously. He worked as a real estate agent.

Walton is survived by his father, Thomas Walton; his brothers, Daryyl Walton of Denver, Greg Walton of College Station and Dennis Walton of Connecticut; his sister, Janet Vincze of Plano; and his beloved dog, Xander.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, at Rothko Chapel in Houston. A second service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 10, at Cathedral of Hope in Dallas.

Stephen L. Bates, 46, died Oct. 26 at his home in Richardson after a brief illness.

The Brownwood native who had lived in Dallas for the last six years worked for AT&T.

He is survived by a sister, Jennie Hill, of Big Sandy, and a brother, David Bates, of Hawkins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Shirley Bates.

No services are planned.
