Rick N. Bonchu, 56, died May 23 at Parkland Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.

A native of Canton, Ohio, Bonchu had lived in the Dallas area for many years.
He worked at Legacy Counseling Center, an organization to which he committed many hours of volunteer service and work as a accountant over the years.

He is survived by his father, Gene “Trigger” Bonchu of Canton, Ohio; his brother, Kip Bonchu of Charlotte, N.C.; his sister-in-law, Patsy Bonchu of Canton, Ohio; his nephew, Mark Bonchu Jr. of Kent, Ohio; and his nieces, Rayni of Centreville, Ohio, Lorinda of Vail, Colo., Natalie of Canton, Ohio and Alexia of Chantilly, Va.

Bonchu also leaves behind many kind and wonderful friends and colleagues in the Dallas area. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
