Mansell “Manse” Bridwell, 59, died Sept. 5 at Baylor Hospital after a long illness.

Bridwell was born in South Carolina on Nov. 9. 1946, and moved to Dallas in 1982. He was a 16-year veteran of the U.S. Army and was most recently employed at Kroger Food Store.

Bridwell was a charter member of the Firedancers Dallas.

Bridwell is survived by his sister, Jeannette Lawing of Anderson, S.C., and by many friends in Dallas, who offered this parting sentiment: “Goodbye Dolly. We love you.”

Bridwell will be buried in Honea, S.C. A celebration of his life will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. at The Hidden Door, 5025 Bowser St.

Zane Wade, a long time Dallas resident, died at his family home in Lamesa, Texas, on Aug. 29.

Wade was well known in the community, having worked at High Voltage, Outlines and for many years at Neiman Marcus for many years.

He leaves behind a loving family and many close friends who will miss him.

A celebration of Wade’s life will be held at White Rock Community Church, 9353 Garland Road, on Saturday at 3 p.m. Donations can be made to your favorite AIDS charity.
