JEFFERSON — Memorial services for Robert L. "Bob" Haynes, 71, of Jefferson, were held Tuesday, April 6, at Haggard Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. David Puckett officiating, under the direction of Haggard Funeral Home of Jefferson.

Haynes died Thursday morning, April 1, at his home in Jefferson, with his family at his side. He was born Nov. 23, 1938, in St. Louis,  the son of Howard and Evelyn Haynes.

Haynes was the owner and operator of River City Mercantile Co. Antique Store, vice president of the Marion County Chamber of Commerce and very involved in numerous other community and civic activities and projects. He and his partner David Sinclair lived in Dallas for 20 years before retiring to Jefferson to operate their antique store.

He is survived by his life partner, David Sinclair; cousins, Tom Dome and Kathy Dome; and many loving friends and associates.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Jefferson Historical Society, Jefferson Historical Museum, 223 W. Austin St., Jefferson, Texas 75657; or to your local Humane Society.
