The Turtle Creek Chorale announced Tuesday afternoon that Grammy Award-winning musician, songwriter and producer David Foster and singer, television and Broadway star Katharine McPhee will headline the fifth annual Rhapsody gala benefiting Turtle Creek Chorale whic returns to the Statler Hotel on Sept. 20. The announcement was first made at the Chorale’s 45th Anniversary Celebration at Gilley’s Dallas on May 17.
This year’s Rhapsody gala chair is Dr. Whitney Strauss.
The gala will feature an opening reception, seated dinner, luxury live auction and an exclusive concert by David Foster and Katharine McPhee. Funds raised will support the Chorale’s mission to entertain, educate, unite and inspire through its musical, cultural and educational programs.
This year’s gala is part of TCC’s 45th season. The 2025 gala also marks the return of Rhapsody to The Statler. The first Rhapsody was held in the downtown hotel in 2019. Previous headliners include Cyndi Lauper, Patti LuPone, Audra McDonald and Idina Menzel who was the inaugural performer.

We look forward to sharing great music with you. See you there!”
The duo’s performance will showcase Foster’s hits he’s written for Chicago, Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Michael Bublé, and more, along with McPhee’s signature songs from American Idol, Smash and Waitress.
TCC Executive Director Dr. Dawson B. Taylor said in the release. “This milestone season will showcase an exciting lineup of performances that reflect our rich history, and we look forward to sharing this journey with our community and seeing where this next chapter takes us.”
