Volunteers attended the Dallas Tavern Guild’s annual Holiday Gift Project on Thursday to put together gift bags for residents of AIDS Services Dallas, patients at Parkland Hospital and clients of other community groups
“They assembled, boxed and delivered 1,000 gift bags filled with fresh fruit, natural juice, cookies, candy, crackers, chips, a holiday stuffed toy and a holiday re-tying wishing each person a happy holiday season and telling them we were thinking of them,” Tavern Guild Executive Director Michael Doughman said. “We did the entire project from start to delivery completion in just over two hours.”
