The 22nd annual National Conference on GLBT Equality: Creating Change, will come to Dallas for its annual convention next year. The event takes place from Feb. 3–7, 2010 (is next year really 2010? Yikes!)
The conference attracts about 2,500 attendees — that’ll be quite a boost to the North Texas economy, and all because of the gays. Makes you wonder whether Cathie Adams of the Texas Eagle Forum would back off her condemnation of the Dallas CVB for promoting “Gay Dallas.” Read the story here (you’ll have to scroll to the end).
Thats great news for the Dallas Metroplex area, I hope we are ready as a community to welcome the conference with open arms. This is why the gay community really need to come together and show the rest of the country that we know how to be strong for the cause.
