For the second year, I helping the Dallas Public Library’s GLBT committee by hosting a series of movie screenings at the downtown J. Erik Jonsson branch every other Saturday of the fall. This year, the theme is “Hollywood’s Closet,” and features classic and older films that have  gay subtext. The series kicks off well with two Hitchcock films: This week, “Rope,” and in two weeks “Strangers on a Train.” Stop by the library’s downstairs auditorium by 2 p.m., Sept. 13, and see a free screening. You can also learn about this year’s Out Takes Dallas gay film festival.
