Don't Get it Twisted - Burning Waters Cantina (2)The summer is almost upon us, and when I think of summer, I think of rum. Here’s a rum concoction gussied up with an unusual liqueur and garnish (created by mixologist Esteban Ordonez). You could say, it’s an interesting twist for a cocktail. Enjoy.
1.5 oz. Caliche rum
1.5 oz. Faretti biscotti liqueur
3/4 oz. fresh squeezed and strained lime juice
1/4 simple syrup
Pretzel salt (equal parts coarsely-ground pretzel and coarse sea salt)
Making it: In a cocktail shaker combine first four ingredients. Fill with ice and shake well until chilled. Strain into a cocktail glass or coupe, pre-rimmed with pretzel salt. Garnish with a mini-pretzel.
