TCC Artistic Director Trey Jacobs announced his resignation to chorale members after rehearsal Tuesday.
Turtle Creek Chorale Artistic Director Trey Jacobs announced his resignation Tuesday, which will be effective July 31 at the end of the 2013-2014 season.
“I am so fortunate to have had the most amazing musical experiences over the past three years,” Jacobs said in a press release. “I have been a huge fan of the Turtle Creek Chorale since I first heard them sing in 1993 at a National ACDA Convention. Over the years, I purchased numerous recordings that I used as inspiration and as a model for my high school and collegiate men’s choruses. I feel so honored to have played a small part in the thirty-four year rich history of this incredible chorus.”
Jacobs will be moving to Nashville, Tenn., to be closer to family and return to his passion for music education, the press release reported.
