November. The co-chairs made the announcement from the stage at Fair Park Saturday night, June 4, during the Pride Celebration.

“We are extremely excited to host a safe and unforgettable evening of education, entertainment and empowerment on Saturday, Nov. 13,” said Pritchett, the 2021 senior co-chair. “After careful consultation with local officials, guidance from the CDC and multiple conversations with Sheraton leadership, along with the successful progress of vaccination rates, we look forward to being back in-person for our 40th Annual Dinner, presented by BBVA.”

Black Tie Dinner is encouraging guests this year to become a sponsor to ensure guaranteed seating, as this year’s tickets will be limited and the demand will be high.

“Since hosting a safe dinner for our guests is our top priority, we will have limited tables available; becoming a corporate or individual sponsor is the best way to gain access,” Loftis, the junior co-chair, noted. “As always, we are extremely grateful for the support of our Black Tie Dinner supporters, and becoming a sponsor will allow us to contribute as much funds as possible to our deserving 2021 beneficiaries.”

Black Tie Dinner recently launched its virtual peer-to-peer fundraising campaign, called the “Black Tie Dinner Ambassador Program,” that gives supporters the opportunity to donate to Black Tie Dinner’s 2021 beneficiaries throughout the year.  Pritchett explained, “This initiative gives us an additional outlet to connect with our community in hopes to increase the positive financial impact on our beneficiaries. After 39 years and nearly $26 million dollars raised for our North Texas LGBTQ community, we have no plans on slowing down the impressive momentum this community has helped us build over the years.”

There are several ways to support Black Tie Dinner all year by purchasing raffle tickets online or in-person through a board member for a chance to win a 2021 Mercedes, generously donated by Park Place Motorcars. The organization needs donated auction items and packages; information on how to help in those efforts can be found on their website.
