A group of mostly black activists took the stage to deliver the message that black lives matter. The message had been corrupted to All Lives Matter.
One activist who identified himself as Tony said, “I’m tired of walking down the street scared.”
A black trans minister said, “God isn’t happy,” and speaking to white gays and lesbians in the crowd added, “You were once in this predicament and it wasn’t that long ago.”
Task Force Executive Director Rea Carey addressed the issue to say that of course all lives matter, but black lives are under attack.
“Thank you for holding our movement accountable,” Carey said.
