Cole play
A night of legends come together for two nights. Michael Feinstein, pictured, teams with conductor Marvin Hamlisch for the Dallas Symphony Orchestra’s Cole Porter Tribute. Classic standards such as “Anything Goes” and “I’ve Got You Under My Skin” are part of a long list of the Porter songbook that will come to life.

Girls on film
Alex Remington turns his photographic eye onto drag queens in his new Carapace of the Divas. Comparing the facades found in ordinary life to the fabulous facades of drag queens, Remington captures glamazons hard at work to both humorous and stunning effect. We just hope none of them broke a nail.

Fire dance with me
Leather/Levi club Firedancers Dallas turns 25 at this weekend’s Ruby Slipper Run. The theme is Silver Phoenix Rising 25 and it’s three days filled with social mixers, the centerpiece pool party, poker draws highlighted by the Mr. Firedancer contest. Just be sure to register first at the Door.
