DMA exhibit explores Mesoamerica
The ancient culture of Southern Mexico, including the patron diety Quetzalcoatl, is the subject of an elaborate new exhibit at the Dallas Museum of Art, The Legacy of the Plumed Serpent. The collection of Mesoamerican codices, textiles and other
precious items just opened, but will be on display through November.

Liz Mikel has the blues; just listen
Liz Mikel spends her night off from appearing in Dallas Theater Center’s Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat by performing a different kind of music: The blues. The B-way veteran sings Ma Rainey, Bessie Smith, Moms Mabley  and other greats in her concert show entitled A Pigfoot and a Bottle of Beer.
