Resource Center’s annual Toast To Life fundraiser will be held from 7-11 p.m. at The Empire Room, 1225 N. April 11: 2nd Saturday Bird Walk
Heard Natural Science Museum & Wildlife Sanctuary, 1 Nature Place in McKinney, hosts its 2nd Saturday Bird Walk to help beginning and intermediate birders with bird spotting and identification techniques. The African American Museum, Dallas, 3536 Grand Ave. in Fair Park, presents Icons of Liberation: King and Mandela, an interactive exhibit exploring the shared leadership values and global impact of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Nelson Mandela. The exhibit is free and open to the public. This exhibit also serves as a thematic introduction to the museum’s upcoming presentation of Nelson Mandela: The Official Exhibition, opening June 13 and remaining on view through Nov. 1.
