Jan. 30: CinéWilde presents ‘Portrait of a Lady on Fire’

CinéWilde presents a screening at Texas Theatre, 231 Jefferson Blvd. in Dallas, of Portrait of a Lady on Fire, a French film directed by Céline Sciamma and set in the 18th century that tells the story of the passionate love between painter Marianne and her subject, Héloise. The evening will also feature a Q&A with local queer photographer Debra Gloria discussing her work capturing the beauty of queer individuals. The Q&A starts at 8:30 p.m., followed at 8:50 p.m. by the movie. Stay after the movie for the pop-up live sketch studio starting at 10:45 p.m., with canvas and charcoal provided.

Dallas Winter Boat Show is open at Dallas Market Center, 2200 N. Jan. 31: DMA Black History and Culture Celebration
Dallas Museum of Art, 1717 N. Harwood St., kicks off Black History Month in the Arts District with its second annual Black History and Culture Celebration from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. at the museum.
