Queer Queens of Qomedy returns to Hyena’s

Cameron and Rhea aren’t the only lesbian standups making a play in Dallas this week (see story, Page 24). Poppy Champlin returns to Hyena’s at Mockingbird Station with her lineup the Queer Queens of Qomedy. Champlin, pictured, will be joined by Sandra Valls, Jen Lober and local comic Crist Guzman for en evening of gay laughter.

Broadway’s Leading Ladies take to the stage at Fair Park

Broadway has cultivated numerous divas over the years, and three of the brightest are Tony Award winners Donna McKechnie (A Chorus Line), pictured, Judy Kaye (Mamma Mia) and Cady Huffman (The Producers). Between them, they’ve sung some of the great showtunes of all time. Now you can see them all in one place for the leading ladies concert at Fair Park Music Hall. The one-night-only concert will even donate a portion of the proceeds to Resource Center Dallas.

Gay-led PRVIS plays at Bomb Factory

The trio PRVIS has made headlines with out frontwoman Lynn Gunn being an outspoken LGBT advocate, as well as a powerhouse singer. They perform at the Bomb Factory in support of their latest album, All We Know of Heaven, All We Need of Hell. A portion of proceeds from the tour go to the Ally Coalition.
