Poor Jennifer Hudson only finished seventh on her season of American Idol. Since then, she’s had to take solace in winning an Oscar, and a Grammy, starring on Broadway and gaining millions of fans worldwide. That’s a powerhouse performer, as you’ll be able to see for yourself when she appears in concert with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra (Sarah Hicks conducting) as part of the Soluna Festival. And I’m telling you — I am going.

Amish drama ‘Everything is Wonderful’ opens at WTT

The excommunicated daughter of an Amish family returns to her family home following a tragedy, only to find wounds have a way of not healing… even though they have to. WaterTower Theatre continues its season with the play Everything is Wonderful, about understanding, forgiveness and the complicated world of family dynamics. Kelsey Leigh Ervi directs.
