Monologist John Michael returns with new audience-participation play
Dallas native John Michael moved to Chicago four years ago, but he keeps returning to his hometown every year or so to workshop and incubate his new works. His 8th play as a monologist, It’s Not All about You John Michael, relies heavily on audience participation, and you can be part of it for a one-night-only premiere at the Margo Jones that promises to be a communal experience.

Pulitzer finalist ‘Everybody’ running at Stage West
What happens when we die… like, all of us? According to gay playwright Branden Jacobs-Jenkins’ Everybody, it’s all a roll of the dice… or the lottery balls. This modern take on Medieval morality plays is a snarky take on the nature of mortality and the afterlife, getting its regional premiere courtesy of Stage West. It was a finalist for the 2017 Pulitzer Prize for Drama.

DMA highlights ‘forgotten’ artist Ida O’Keeffe
Georgia O’Keeffe wasn’t the only member of her family with artistic talent, but her own vanity led her to discourage her sister Ida from pursuing her talent. As a result, Ida O’Keeffe all but drifted into obscurity. Almost. The Dallas Museum of Art’s current exhibition of Ida’s surviving paintings, as well as some illustrations and other works, shows her own skill with the predominant style of the 1920s and ’30s. It runs through the end of February.
