Asia O’Hara


Texas drag star power continues to rock the catwalk, with Dallas entertainer Asia O’Hara announced tonight (Thursday, Feb. 22) as one of the 14 queens vying for the title of America’s next drag superstar in Season 10 of RuPaul’s Drag Race.
Season 10 starts Thursday, March 22, at 7 p.m. on VH1. (That’s 7 p.m., CST, by the way.) Go here to watch the contestants’ videos introducing themselves, including Asia’s.
Other queens competing for the crown will be Aquaria, Blair St. Clair, Dusty Ray Bottoms, Eureka (again), Kalorie Karbdashian Williams, Kameron Michaels, Mayhem Miller, Miz Cracker, Monet X Change, Monique Heart, The Vixen, Vanessa Vanjie Mateo andf Yuhua Hamasaki.
Asia O’Hara is not just a female impersonator, she is also a costume designer and dance instructor. She also owns her costume design company, Helen of Seven, through which she creates custom designs for a variety of clients, from high school color guards to ice skates to other drag queens.
Asia’s drag career started when she won the amateur night contest at The Rose Room at S4. She has since gone on to win numerous pageants, including Miss Gay USofA 2007, Texas National Entertain of the Year in 2010. All-American Goddess 2012 and Miss Gay America 2016.
Asia promises that Season 10 of Drag Race will be “The most remarkable thing the LGBT community has ever seen.”
