Becky Nelson and Beth Clarke will celebrate their fourth wedding anniversary on Friday, Aug. 14. They met online while both were finishing college. Nelson is a professional photographer and Clarke is a security site manager. They are owned by two dogs and four cats and live with their menagerie in the Oak Lawn area. They attend the Cathedral of Hope as often as their schedules allow.

Thomas Thacker and Paul Mejia will celebrate the first anniversary of their wedding on Aug. 29. They were married in a beachside ceremony in Santa Barbara, Calif., last summer during the five-month window when California allowed legal same-sex marriages to be performed. The couple started dating in March 2007, and now live in Justin, Texas.
