AIDS Vaccine 2011, being billed by organizers as “the largest and most prestigious global scientific conference focused exclusively on AIDS vaccine research,” will be held Sept. 12-15 in NBangkok, Thailand.
The conference is being hosted by the Global HIV Vaccine Enterprise, in partnership with Mahidol University and Thailand’s Ministry of Public Health.
This will be the first time HIV vaccine scientific conference will be held in Asia, organizers said, adding that Thailand is an international leader in HIV vaccine research and home to the RV 144 study, the first clinical trial to demonstrate the effectiveness of a candidate HIV vaccine.
