REMEMBERING HOLOCAUST VICTIMS
| Equality March Texas organized a Jan. 27 vigil along Oak Lawn Avenue, from the Highland Park Fountain to the Legacy of Love monument, in memory of gay and lesbian victims of the Holocaust. Afterwards, speakers at a reception at the Melrose Hotel said lessons from that period should be used to avert the new genocide against the LGBT community in Uganda.

Thanks everyone for coming out to support Equality March Texas’ Candelight Holocaust Rememberance March last night!
On Feb 17th a Ugandan minister will be leading a march in NY in support of the “kill the gays billâ€, so the photos & video we took will be used to speak up against those who support genocide today! Please look for our video on YouTube soon!
It was such an honor to serve as a speaker at this event and to just be a part of this! I am also so proud of my husband, Joshua Frenk, who had been sick at home for over a week and who literally left his sickbed for the first time to march the full length of the walk in spite of how he was feeling. For if we are to make true change towards helping people to recognize their common humanity, we will also need to remind them of the slippery slope hatred put into law can be.
Thanks also to all the straight community who supported us, to the cities of Highland Park and Dallas for giving us permission to march. I hope this becomes an annual event and that it grows bigger each year!

Where is the outrage of the current and on going holocaust by Islam against gays?
Earlier this week Vanderbilt Islamic Professor Awadh A. Binhazim stated the Islam dictates the execution of all gays.
Iraqi gay men are arrested, then their rectums are glued shut and then force fed laxatives and water until their internal organs explode.
Iran hangs citizens suspected of being gay.
Egypt beheads gays who went on a gay cruise.
Gays in Palestine have a choice, be behead, stoned to death or thrown of the roof of buildings, often by their own families.
Islamic countries outlaw homosexuality and punish it with death.
When will the LGBT community wake up, bet their heads out of the sand and realize the holocaust against them is ongoing by, for and with the blessing of Islam?
Dear “Amsterdam”,
The reason human rights activists such as myself are focusing on Uganda right now instead of the middle east is because our own U.S.A government and U.S.A. citizens (ie. – ministers, writers, etc.)have been instrumental in perpetuating and influencing the hatred towards the GLBT demographic in Uganda. In my view, this means that our, (U.S.A.), citizens have a RESPONSIBILITY to hold our representatives accountable for wielding their influence abroad in a manner that supports genocide.
FYI – We had a number of Muslim human rights activists come out to support our march alongside those of Judaic and Christian beliefs. So, be careful not to lump all Muslims together, as quite often the U.S.A. Muslim citizens view the extremists the same way U.S.A. Christian citizens view the Ku Klux Klan which also has hung, shot, beaten and decapitated gay people in the past, (check the Southern Poverty Law center’s “Intelligence Reports).
Thank you for being someone who cares about recognizing the common humanity in us all…I hope you will direct your passion and concern into peaceful forceful action!
